I beleive norton was called the Black Devils or Red Devils in the 20's or 30's, but I may be wrong on that. I know it isn't a strange name but it is pretty interesting to see different names of the local schools.

The fleas? LOL could be alot of fun for an announcer I can see there game vs Appy now " The fleas are all over the dawgs!" "The Dawg ball carrier is shaking off fleas left and right"

I wonder what the Nickname/Mascot for the consolidated DC school will end up being?
I have the sinking feeling that we will end up being the Ralf Stanley Memorial Dueling Banjos. LOL which would still be better than if the powers that be were to pick a name that connected to the county's nickname "Virginias Baby" I can safely bet that the "Dickenson Babies"? would not install fear and dread into anyone LOL
